Integrating a spatial database of the university

“Physical system database toward an innovation university and world-class green university”

The Chulalongkorn University Spatial Database Integration Project is a project that compiles lessons learned and experience in the management of physical systems of the university by using spatial data, and analyzing the to design the spatial database architecture of Chulalongkorn University.  In the spatial dimension, the university is considered a small city with an internal management system. This is especially true for the management of physical systems which is in line with urban management in the era of the digital and information revolution today. City/area management must be based on data usage.  In particular, spatial data can connect the database, context, and location information, and is the new frontier of data analysis in today's digital world.

UddC has studied and analyzed the physical system data of Chulalongkorn University, including the operational structure of the university's Office of Physical Resources Management o design a spatial database architecture database systems that are consistent and suitable for various levels of usage needs at the management, policy, and decision-maker levels.

The spatial database builds upon the university physical system database as a tool for managing the university's physical systems, and supporting the university's vision and goals in driving an environment that promotes learning and quality of life of students, community personnel, as well as the urban society around the Chulalongkorn University campus.
