Communication and Public Relations

"Communication is the key to changing the city for the better”

UddC believes that professional public relations processes are the key behind the success of all urban development projects,  That process connects various groups of people in the city such as policy makers, the community, project implementers, academics, Civil Society, media, social influencers, etc. The public relations process therefore not only helps build awareness among the project's stakeholders, but it also stimulates the public awareness across all sectors. That is a pathway to generating acceptance and support, and is a bond that connects project owners with stakeholders and the public at-large to cooperate and advocate push until the project is successful and sustainable.

With experience and expertise in public relations communications at all levels, all forms and in all communication channels -- especially in the midst of changes in the fusion technology era as digital media plays an important role in public awareness -- UddC is eager to communicate and showcase exemplary urban development projects. UddC is always exploring new modes of communication to create knowledge about the city, both through social media and websites providing news about the “Urbanis” under the concept of "City + People."

UddC also focuses on filtering technology and in-depth data analysis. This had led to the development of Thailand’s first open physical database system under the support of Rockefeller Foundation.  Not only is this process and outcomes extremely useful for project development and target group analysis, but it also helps to empower public communication with reliable information and the ability digest enormous amounts of complex information to make it easier for people to interpret and absorb.

In addition, UddC is also allied with the media, as an intermediary between the project owners and the public sector, including mainstream media such as newspapers, radio, and television which have long experience in communicating public issues and social issues. Traditional media still has a great influence on the changing policy of cities and countries for the better. Now, there is online media which can afford to focus on specific issues with a narrow constituency.  This can be seen from the project information that is presented by various media channels which including references to UddC's knowledge and experience in raising awareness about the city situation and potential for the future.
